Resident of Pleasanton
Michael John Schiano, Sr., 60, longtime resident of Pleasanton, passed away January 13, 2013.
Born October 9, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY, he moved to Pleasanton in 1969 and graduated from Amador Valley High School. An avid skier and softball player, he coached his sons Little League teams and taught his children their way around the slopes. He lived every moment to its fullest, infused a room with laughter and good cheer, and always knew how to have a good time. You could usually find him on Friday nights with friends and family in downtown Pleasanton at the Wine Steward or at the Sunshine Saloon.
Mike left us doing what he loved most at one of his favorite places - on the ski slopes of Heavenly. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lisa, his brother Pat, his grown children Angela, Michael and Richard, son-in-law Eric, granddaughter Mia, and a community of good friends that will miss him dearly.
